Attention ALL Members - No Longer Updating Blog

After our Advisory Committee Members meeting today, it was determined there are better options than the blog to keep our ALL members informed on events, classes and bus trips. All of our future postings regarding events and bus trip will be sent on the Remind App.  We also suggest students to visit www.lonestar.edu/all website.  Academy of Lifelong Learning posts a weekly update flyer with any added classes or schedule changes.

FALL 2020 Class Information - 4

By now, you should have received your Fall 2020 ALL catalog. if not, it can be viewed online here. Hopefully you will receive it soon.

Classes will begin in early September. Please register online, select your classes and pay the $25 membership fee. Detailed instructions are included in the catalog. Remember, there is no geographic limit, especially since all of our classes will be online. Please note many of the classes have overlapping times; pay attention when selecting classes as you will not be able to register for a class when there is a conflicting time.

Every ALL class will be presented online this fall using Webex, a video conferencing platform. The process to attend a class, as of today, is as follows:

1. A few days before your scheduled class, an email, with the Webex class link, will be sent to those registered in that class.

2. Please login a few minutes (5-10 minutes) early so you don't miss anything.

3. The classes will be live with the presenter talking to us and sharing their computer screen showing PowerPoint or video or whatever media they choose to teach with, or not.

4. Please be patient. We are at the beginning of our learning curve as we all venture into the online-only world.

5. We still are trying to figure out how to get the links to those that want to "drop in". Will follow up on that soon.

6. Contact Kimberly Moore-Crenshaw at KMoore-Crenshaw@lonestar.edu for general class questions. If you have questions or need help logging into your student account while trying to register please call OTS,  832.813.6600.

FALL 2020 Class Information - 1

Hello CyFair ALL members! Things are still interesting in the middle of the COVID situation. Hope you all are doing well and we can see each other soon.

Our Fall ALL classes will be starting in September with a limited number of total classes. There will be a virtual Open House on Wednesday, August 12, from 11-Noon.

As most of you may have heard by now, we will not have any face-to-face classes for ALL this semester; classes will be online only. Any ALL member can "attend" any LSC ALL class online via Webex. There will be a learning curve for everyone to adapt to this new way of attending classes and we hope to make it easy for you.

To see the classes that will be taught by our CyFair members/regular instructors, look here.

More information will be coming shortly. We will be sharing  how to access the virtual classes, the Open House, and the whole catalog of ALL classes for the semester.
