Abundio Reyes shared his story of how he came to this country when he was 17 years old. He told us how, over the last 30 plus years, he has worked his way from being a dishwasher, to manager for several large Houston restaurants, to owning his own family Mexican restaurant, Julias, located at 6126 Hwy 6 North. His menu consists of traditional Mexican dishes from the southwest region of Mexico.The class got to sample chips and dip, queso, Taquitos de Pollo and Carne Quisada. Everyone enjoyed the presentation as well as the food.
