Bird Friendly Yard

Professor Tim Sebesta gave us another great class related to his passion for birds.  This program highlighted "how to make your yard bird friendly".  Review his presentation to learn more about the steps to take to have your yard certified by Texas Parks and Wildlife.  Learn what plants attract birds and what foods the birds prefer.  People in the Houston area are lucky to be in a flyway for birds with great weather much of the year.

Jefferson: The Educator

Professor Bobby O'Brien gave an interesting and informative program on "Jefferson: The Educator". We are lucky to share in his experience with the NEH (National Endowment for Humanities) program. This was a week long immersion in the subject matter. One of Bobby's favorite quotes from Jefferson is "I cannot live without books". Jefferson was instrumental in both developing and designing the University of Virginia.
