The December Advisory Board Meeting was held a week early this month to allow for end of the semester reporting of events before the college closed for the holidays.  There was good attendance at the 10th Anniversary Party and we had good reports that people enjoyed the event. The Spring 2015 catalog will be mailed to ALL members in late December.  Registration for Spring is set for Saturday, January 17th.  Classes will begin on CyFair campus on Tuesday, January 20th. Rock Art Solar Markers

Gordon Houston, Solar System Ambassador and lifelong observer of the sky, gave us a great talk about Rock Art Solar Markers. His research has primarily been at the Texas site of Paint Rock which is about 30 miles east of San Angelo. Rock Art refers mostly to pictures or symbols left on rock surfaces by members of traditional cultures. Some rock art was created at least 10's of thousands of years ago.
