Hypnosis

Dan Perez presented a very interesting class telling us how hypnosis can help with some personal behaviors that we want to change....such as quit smoking, losing weight, confidence building, sleep enhancement, etc. Contrary to what the TV shows portray, hypnosis will not make you do things beyond your normal will. Dan explained the different states of mind: Conscious Mind, Critical Faculty, Subconscious Mind and Unconscious. Hypnosis works to make the subconscious mind receptive to new ideas that can replace the old "bad" habits we may have developed.
