Executor Play Calling 101

Stephen Gilley, Lincoln Financial Advisors, gave us great information to consider when doing our estate planning. One of the key features is to start putting together an I Love You book. The book contains specific, important information that any executor, heir, and/or trustee needs to have available to make the transition as painless as possible. The book includes information such as key contacts, accounts (bank and investment), and certain legal documents.

Adventures in Portugal

Rick and Catherine LeBlanc gave us a tour of Portugal from their 2018 travels there. As one of the most affordable European destinations, the LeBlancs and their family let us know about the various cities they visited, the enjoyable dinners at restaurants, the old manors for accommodations and, of course, the wine. The Douro River Valley was truly majestic. Rick also gave the history of Portugal's famous explorers who helped make the country one of the richest in Europe.

Remind Notice for Verizon Users

We were notified Monday that Verizon Wireless users will not be able to receive Remind texts starting on January 28th. Here is the basic information:

How to keep using Remind
If you have Verizon Wireless as your phone carrier and currently receive Remind messages by text, download the app or turn on email notifications for your account.
Both of these options are free of charge.
On your phone: Turn on smartphone notifications (RECOMMENDED)
Download the free Remind app on the iOS App Store, on Google Play, or at rmd.me/a. If you don’t already have a Remind account, create one using the phone number where you receive Remind texts. Make sure to enable push notifications from Remind on your phone.
On your computer: Turn on email notifications
Go to Remind.com on any computer. As above, if you don’t already have a Remind account, create one using the phone number where you receive Remind texts. Turn on email notifications for your account so you don’t miss any messages.
