Gene Chism inspired us with this project - we turned simple wooden clothespins into treasured crosses. Class members had a giggling good time as we deconstructed wooden clothespins and then glued them back together (along with our fingers). Once the shape was perfected, and the glue dried, Gene then took them home to his "real" workshop where he sanded them to perfection. During the last class some people added a stain and decorative flowers to enhance their project. It certainly was a good thing that Gene was there to guide the group through to the finished cross.
